When Mumbo Jumbo died unexpectedly his best friend, Grian, never recovered. He'd locked himself in his house and hasn't left it for six entire months. All the other hermits were worried sick about him, and the only one who hadn't given up, hadn't lost hope, was Scar. He still showed up at Grian's door every single day. 

Could Scar save Grian from the massive hole he'd dug for himself, or had he gone too far to come back?

Sam was gone, for good, Mumbo had killed him and he hadn't respawned. He was dead. Grian trusted in the kindness of the world and he opened up, but that was his biggest mistake. Because what if Sam wasn't dead? What if they had been tricked by a simple hack? What if Scar and Mumbo went missing? What if they were taken? Grian would have to find out the consequences of those 'what if's the hard way. A sequel to "Sam's Back", I suggest reading that first if you haven't already since otherwise this won't make sense. A YHS/Hermitcraft fanfic. Angsty. There's some mild Grumbo shipping but it could just be seen as platonic. Also Scar/Cub shipping, but only really at the very end and you can ignore it if you want. Trigger warnings: death loops, permadeath, Sam being Sam, manipulation, self hatred, torture, general angsty stuff. There's a happy ending though! NOT EVERYTHING IN THIS BOOK IS ACCURATE! That being said, don't get upset cuz Pizza isn't in here. I forgot to add him and by the time I realized, I was already on chapter 4. Who knows, maybe book 2 with have him. You'll have to wait and find out ;)
