Ray leans in, closing the distance between us as he whispers in a sarcastic tone, "It's not exactly normal for a vampire to live in a human town either, is it?" I go rigid as Ray regards me for a moment before turning away. I watch Ray disappear down the road as I stand still without moving an inch. I want to say something. I can't just leave things like this, but nothing comes out no matter how hard I try. At that moment, it is physically impossible. Everything around me dissipates into endless whiteness, and the room feels so heavy that I think I might get crushed. Panic sets in my mind as I feel an overwhelming amount of different emotions hit me at once, keeping me locked in place. I feel unsettled while looking at these flickering moving black lines that project an almost alive sense going across my vision. Though it is only a brief dream, lasting almost no time at all, my vision sways before turning back to normal. Everything is exactly as it was before, only now Ray is gone, leaving me by myself under the dim orange street lights in a state of paralysis. -- The supernatural is not foreign in a country like Qwenso, a place full of not only humans but vampires and werewolves too. Evelyn has to choke down a pain that manifests from a sharp, unexpected force that drives her away from her loved ones, away from the vampire town she belongs in. From faking a human disguise, taking shady jobs, and putting up with the most annoying boy in the world, Evelyn is able to survive in this dull world until murder breaks out. With Evelyn's safety at risk, she begrudgingly investigates a long road of potential suspects and potential illegal activity that is hiding in the very town she lives in. From strange, dark power that possesses a will of its own, a bloodthirsty vampire, a conflicted assassin, and a friendship woven on secrets, these strong elements are bound to crash eventually, causing a storm that no one in its range can escape unscathed.

"Goddess, you're so perfect." he breathed the words, staring up at her as she moved rhythmically up and down above him, her breasts bouncing as he gripped her hips, trying to hold back the wave that he felt building inside of him. She just looked and felt so fucking good. "Do female wolves mark their mates?" She leaned forward as she asked the question in a low voice, sliding her arms along his chest as she shifted her position, moving her legs close together so that he was even tighter inside of her as his hands came down to grip her ass, thrusting into her from below. "Yes." he was barely able to gasp out the word. "Not in my pack. But in many- most even- other packs." "Why not yours?" He felt her mouth slip forward, her tongue teasing the same place he had marked on her body half an hour earlier. "The men in our pack just haven't allowed it. It's a sign of claiming and-" her teeth grazed the spot lightly, not hard enough to break the skin, but he felt a mixture of pleasure and pain shoot through his body and he drew in a sharp breath, his head tilting back automatically as he offered her better access to the spot. "It shows that you belong to your mate. Doesn't it? Like I belong to you?" "Yes." He murmured, gripping her more tightly, so close to the edge he knew he'd lose control at any moment. He only hoped he could bring her to the peak of pleasure again first. He'd thought she was close. "Nova." He knew his voice sounded desperate. "Can I mark you, Alpha?" ---------------------------------- When Nova stumbles into pack lands and is captured by the Blazing Moon pack she knows that she has to escape. She makes a daring escape only to be tracked down by their Alpha. But their meeting isn't at all what either or them expected. Can he convince her to stay? Or will a petite female rogue be the one to bring down one of the fiercest Alpha's on the continent? ⚠️THIS STORY HAS EXPLICIT SCENES AND MATURE CONTENT. IT IS NOT ADVISED FOR THOSE YOUNGER THAN 18
