Cold. Apathetic. Bizzare.
Those are the words servants of the castle in the vampire kingdom of Lamia, use to describe the doctor that directly serves the royal family.
Doctor Viktor Bloodfern is the castaway of his family, living in numbed black and white after the loss of his beloved wife, and waiting to die to take his dark secret to the grave.
After being on trial and accused of fifteen murders, horrifying and hateful rumors about him roam the kingdom.
Kind and well-mannered, Josiah Aspen is not only the most powerful noble, but the most trusted advisor of the king. The first time he meets Viktor is during his trial as an interrogator, and later . . . as his closest friend. Befriending the mysterious royal doctor and unleashing an unlikely romance might just be his worst mistake.
He will never know, until the blindfold falls.

The Fourth Horseman
I was falling, cascading into the dark chasm of sin and desire. I was unhinged, wild and free, giving in to everything I wanted. I would not hold back tonight. I wanted to fuck him over and over, anywhere and everywhere. Taste him and kiss him. Completely surround myself with only Jay. I will do it all with Jay tonight and every night forward. I am his queen, his weakness, his carnal transgression. I will take him as my own and ride out this delusion with him come what may. A tiny voice in the back of my mind was scolding, cursing, pleading at me to come to my senses, realize the mistakes I was making and the repercussions I would face. I suffocated the whispers, murdered my rational logic in that moment. Death was swift for the girl in my mind looking down with a frown on my actions. I laughed again, knowing this would be my undoing, enjoying the unraveling of my sanity, leaving it in shards on the ground. Because I had made up my mind. I won't let go. ****TRIGGER ⚠️ WARNING This book contains mature content; including language, violence, sexual content, drugs and alcohol and a near rape scenario. Touch of Innocence
This story is the sequel to my previous story "King of the Vamps". It would be beneficial to read that story first as you will be introduced to some characters and certain plot points! Clayton, the son of revered King Ulric and Queen Amaryllis has reached the age to find his mate. The day he tracked her scent, he expected to find a gorgeous vampire attached to the scent. However, a small human child stood in place of his expectations. He felt an intense need to protect the little girl and to love and provide for her as an older brother would for their younger sister. Although he was expecting a mature female to complete his mate bond with, he is prepared to raise his young mate, who was unfortunately abandoned by her parents. He is determined to provide her a life full of happiness and love. ****** "What difference does it make how old I am? I'm not a little kid, Clay. If it's about me being 18, six months doesn't make a big difference." "You're making this very difficult for me," he said, his jaw clenched. "Please tell me," she whispered. Clay tilted his chin up and closed his eyes. He couldn't handle looking at her face. If he looked at her for one more second he would break. She was the only person in the world who held enough power to weaken him. "Please," her sweet voice whispered again. And there his resolve went. Completely out of the door. He grabbed her hips and pushed her against the wall. "You want to know, Hadley?" He asked, his voice dangerously low.Complete
