Six months after the events of the first part, things start to patch up well. That is until a mysterious message appeared to the Splatoon warning about a situation going in the bustling city of Splatsville and the surrounding Splat Lands, in which could spell disaster. 

Misa and her friends are currently battling situations in Inkopolis, including the new spark of racist people and Misa's emotionally exhausting mother, Mamori, coming to town. They decide to help the Splatoon discover mysterious things in Splat Lands and a enigmatic man in Splatsville, all while trying to handle the racist officers in the town and the negligent mayor running it.
