David Lee is a student from Singapore studying at an American university. A good natured and upright man, he has seen his fair share of ups and downs, and bad relationships. He puts love aside and buries himself to his books. But when he has Alison cut his hair at the campus' hairdressing salon, his thoughts on love changes.

Alison Truwell is an average small town American girl. Graduating from community college and working as a hairdresser, she has met all kinds of people and has experienced a few soured relationships. Pretty much given up on love, she lets the styling of people's hair become her life, until one day when David walks into her hair salon.

Two people from other ends of the world, of different cultures but with much in common. Can love happen between a hairdresser and a student?
