An older-looking guy stepped towards me and my eyes flashed directly to his bat. It was a wooden baseball bat with what looked like some kind of wire around it. My eyes widened up in fear and I began to have a panic attack. The guy's face immediately softened, "Back up, she's just a kid!" He whispered sharply and pushed the Freddie Krueger looking guy out of the way, and knelt down in front of me. "What's your name, sweetheart?" He spoke so low I could barely hear him. I didn't answer and just stared at the bat that was not even two feet from my face. "I'm trying to help you." His voice got sterner, and that just made me even more scared but I forced words out of my mouth. "F-Faye," I whispered, winching due to the fact it's been so long since I've spoken. The man nodded, then stood up and held out his hand. I looked up at him, and he nodded towards my ankle. "I've got stuff in the RV over there, I can help." You met Maggie Greene at NYU: you were studying fine arts, she was studying agricultural sciences. She was finishing up undergrad while you were finishing your masters. Maggie being from the South and you being from the North, your world views were vastly different; that's probably why you clicked so well. You both graduated in May, the world fell in August. You had no one, and so you drove as far and fast as you could, knowing if there was anyone you could turn to, it was Maggie. While on the Greene Family Farm, you meet ex-sheriffs deputy Rick Grimes, aiding in saving his son's life. He couldn't thank you enough. Even though harper feels this way, the one person in her whole family who cares for her the most is her 10 year old brother carl. She makes bew fruends who do appreciate her but little doess her familt know, she actually is the hero of this story, because actually bieng deaf (quote conny) is actually 'a god damn superpower' and she saves their asses, because she still wants her family and friends to stay alive.
