Petra Moon thinks she can do everything on her own. That is, until she stumbles through a gateway to a magical world called Silva Hollow and discovers she has powers that she has no idea how to use. 

Petra soon meets a boy called Kai with Cerebral Palsy who tells her never to return to Silva Hollow. But Petra is forced back to the new world when she and her newly-found friends discover that the gateway is leaking magical energy and causing havoc on Earth. Now all she needs to do is to stop the  Elder's destructive plans to sell their magic before her home town is gobbled up and learn how to use her Astral powers while teaching Kai to cast within the constraints of his condition. Easy, right?
