About 6 months had passed after Walnut's and Roguefort's death. Almond hadn't gotten over any of them in any way, still being extremely depressed.

He had nobody by his side, not even Latte. He was alone. It mostly lifted him to concentrate on working more, so that's the only positive in their death's. But it didn't stop him from taking a small break every few hours to bawl his eyes out.

But then, he came to a sudden realization. He could become what Roguefort once was.
