The country's government created a robot corp that is in charge of eliminating threats to the world. While this corp was being made scientists were also developing a virus, a powder, that could give humans abilities to protect the world by themselves without the robot suits. While transporting a few sample robots and the virus in a plane, the virus accidentally flies out and sprinkles across a rural area. The virus could only affect people with O-negative blood, so they had to check the records for everyone in a 15-mile radius with this blood type. A group escapes and plans on releasing the rest of the people captured.

This is (or should be) the mostly women main cast version. There's also a mostly men main cast version. Throughout this series, six characters develop their powers and their relationships with friends, with siblings and with romantic and sexual partners. They travel through time and to alternate dimensions both by accident due to a lack of control over their powers and intentionally due to being summoned to help save their world or a time line. The series is light and the individual novellas can be read on their own in terms of the story itself. Scientists in the CDC lab try to genetically enhance a virus known as the Zika virus to try and fully understand how it was caused and how it can be stopped. The experiment was tested to far from its limits and became a deadly virus that is now air borne spreading it to anyone it came into contact with. The government tried to contain it, but it became to powerful to hide from the world, and the virus turned anyone it came into contact with, into man eating monsters. The government took over completely but was quickly overrun by robots that they had created to enforce the newly created laws. As the robots continued to make more of themselves and become powerful, kids were mainly targeted as they were seen as bad to the mechanical monstrosity that was ruining the city. A teenager tried to keep most of the kids safe and hid them well, making sure they were safe with mothers and fathers who had already suffered losses of their own children being taken and enslaved. At the start of the government taking over, a group of people was forced out of the city due to their ignorance, according to the government that is. It became a comforting story to the scared kids that they'll come back and save them, told by the teenager who risks his life to save them.
