The group had gotten separated.
Walkers had gotten into the camp.

"But we don't know if he went this way. Or if he is still alive." Niall said yelling.
Harry a couple feet away, walking as fast as he can.
He doesn't know if he could find Louis.
He doesn't know if Louis is dead.
