Not a story. Another compilation. However, it's prompts this time.
What is the meaning of prompts in literature?
- a prompt is a written guideline that provides a potential topic idea or starting point for multiple forms of writing.
[A/N] In other words, prompts are used to induce a storyline from a writer, out from a 1-3 sentences short plot. Now, I'm not a writer but I may have created a lot of scenarios in my head worth making a trilogy. I have never experienced those kind of events, heartbreak, nor relationship in real life yet somehow, I felt all those storyline as if they were mine... thanks to prompts.
Maybe, you're an author disguised as a reader... or a character waiting to be formulated... perhaps, you are the story itself, waiting to be written? *wink *wink
It's up to you, who knows what kind of stories you can possibly create?
Our previous two SmackDowns were both massive successes, and it's high time for another. You might remember the last one was heavy on the "game" elements, maybe even too heavy. This time we're going back to the basics and keeping it simple.
It's just a motherfuckin' sci-fi SmackDown: a heated writing contest where contestants are given text-, music- and visual-based prompts, and then they need to write a short story around that, following which they're judged for their efforts and either move on to the next round or they get eliminated from the competition.
But there's gotta be some kind of twist, right? For this one we're waxing nostalgic, we're looking back into our past.
We're going back to our roots.
