Laying on the ground pain arced through my body as the large hulking figure continued to slam his foot into my stomach the breath forced from my lungs as I gasped for air blood dripping from my mouth. And then a voice filled the air. Unable to see the person I listened to the back and forth banter until the boy moved his body suddenly thrown backwards into the wall another figure taking his place. Her blond hair and pale skin gleamed in the sun her black jeans and leather jacket hugging her skinny but curvy figure. Her eyes glowed a bright green with flecks of amber gold making her eyes look like they were aflame. As she bent down her voice was soft gentle as her hand reached for my bruised face she fingers brushing feather soft against my skin electricity skating down my body as I resisted the urge to shiver.
"Are you alright?"
Her eyes stared down at me as I looked at her unable to respond until for a reason I cannot explain I burst into tears. Without another word her arms scoop beneath me lifting me from the ground right against me as I cradled my head against her chest breathing in her scent.
"Where are we going?"

It's as if the bubble pops because when I close my eyes and open them again, the halls are completely empty and I'm panting against the wall. I bring my hand to the bite on my neck. Nothing. I felt as if someone had dropped a boulder on my fragile heart. He peppered kisses on her neck and she giggled in response. Right in front of my eyes. I clenched my fist. Their proximity suffocated me. I couldn't breathe. Jealousy and agony gave way to pure rage and without thinking, I jerked the woman out of his hold and pushed her away. "What the hell," she glared at me and I glared back at her before turning my gaze on Alex. "Who is she? And why is she here?" I asked him and could hear my voice shaking because of the enormous rage I was feeling in that moment. I wanted to kill him along with her. He scanned my expression for a moment and then flicked his gaze away as if I don't even exist. "Let's get you to my room," he was about to grab her hand when I grabbed his. I turned to face the woman and gave her a death glare, "Leave." "What," She flicked her gaze on Alex who looked as taken aback as her. I was overly tempted to pluck her eyes out for looking at him. "Eyes here. I am his wife and the lady of this house. And I want you gone. Leave," I gritted out. Completely forgotten that I was going to leave this house tonight. "Only in the paper. And I am the owner of this house," he hissed in my face in a warning tone and then looked at the woman. "Go to my room, Selena," he told her in a stern tone. He was annoyed not by her but by me. I could feel his temper rising, but it was nowhere near mine. My heart shattered in million pieces when he said that. A drop of tear rolled down my cheek as I saw the woman taking the stairs from my peripheral view. The cold wind hit me like a bullet. I took a step but the floor was so slippery that I was unable to catch myself. I almost fell forward into the pile of dreadful snow below me.
