Finally, Siggy is free.

After 12 years in the foster care system, she has finally found her escape two weeks before her eighteenth birthday. Now, with the money she was able to save up working part time jobs through high school, she moves down to Charleston, South Carolina in hopes of starting a life for herself. She has a job set up at a small diner-Bob's Diner-as well as another job at a coffee shop, securing her a decent income to pay for the rent in her new apartment.

However, as she settles into her new life, she keeps running into this odd group of guys, getting herself caught up in strange situations, and even being dragged into their-sometimes dangerous-messes. But she doesn't seem to mind...in fact, it feels like she's found a home after being  traded from house to house for the last 12 years. 

This newfound security and comfort comes to a screeching halt when she spots her father on the streets. Some would wonder, what's the big deal of that? 

Her father is supposed to be in prison.
