The world is a dangerous place and sometimes there's a need for superheroes. Regrettably, there's no real way to gain super strength or to fly like in the comic books. However, that doesn't mean that someone can't become a real-life superhero.
Across the world, regular people are donning costumes and creating personas to prevent crime and help their communities. Becoming a real-life superhero isn't easy, and you should consider the risks and effort that come with it.
Before you can walk the streets protecting others, you need to create a persona and be physically and mentally prepared for the task.

This is my first story so bear with me. This follows the TNMT movie from 2007, with of course you the lovely reader being added. This isn't the 2012 universe, it has nothing to do with that storyline. Named after the great Renaissance masters... and trained as ninjas. They battled many creatures and foes before defeating their archenemy... the Shredder. But now, a greater evil is poised to destroy their very brotherhood. An evil born 3,000 years ago. It was in that time a warrior king named Yoatl led a brotherhood that fought side by side with one purpose: To conquer the kingdoms of the world. Yoatl had a daughter, Y/N, who fought against his will. She believed her family to be wrong, but trained among them to one day stop her father. But nothing could stand in their way... as they left a trail of destruction behind them. In his quest, Yoatl learned of a constellation known as the stars of Kikan. Every 3,000 years, the stars would align, opening a portal to a world of unknown power. Y/N tried to reason with him, but it was too late. He became immortal, but at a price. His brotherhood was turned to stone. And Y/N? She was forced into immortality alongside her father, as the gods saw punishing her for his wrongdoings was a fitting fate for the king. 13 monsters were unleashed into our world. The king was left on earth, unable to die or forget his mistake. Y/N, trapped in time by her father, never forgave him for what he'd done. She always stays close though, hopeful her father has seen the error of his ways. The monsters that were unleashed, contine to plague mankind to this very day. WARNING: CONTAINING AMOUNTS OF SASS PREVIOUSLY UNKNOWN TO MANKIND In the city of NYC--- Ok. Hold up. First of all, New York City. What, are ya gonna assume everyone here knows what NYC is? Anyway, this is about two people. I can almost hear you rolling your eyes. Another cliché teen fiction with a bad boy and a good girl? Nope. This is about superheroes. I can still hear you rolling your eyes. Superheroes. Like in comic books? Like people with super speed and mutant powers? Yes. But this isn't about the fight they have. More about the lives they lead without the masks. But just keep in mind, people who live in the world have all different skin colours. Do not assume my characters are of one unless I state them explicitly. and diversity is welcome here in my novel! Anyhow, back to the story. Ever wonder where supervillains go after their fight with the hero? What about the other side of the story? It's not like they sit in their lair cackling all day and planning how to kidnap reporters. What about the lives they lead? And instead of just focusing on that, what if the superhero and the supervillain knew each other? I mean, can they see behind the mask? No, so their identities are secret. So what if the hero and villain were best friends? What if they were roommates? What if they were falling for each other? And what happens when they find out? Now, I assume you know all of these questions will be answered in this book. But hold on. It's going to take a while. You're in for a bumpy ride.
