The Parting Gifts

He felt the cold touch of a gun at the back of his neck and despite himself, felt fear for a nanosecond. Imlie! It went away as soon as it appeared. He no longer needed to save her from anything.

The gunman slowly lowered his face cloth and there he was. Satyakam. His face was impassive but his eyes were burning in cold fury. Aryan knew that stare shook the souls of braver men but he felt nothing.

"Came to finally put me out of my misery?" Aryan asked casually, "What took you so long?"

"You are crossing boundaries," Satyakam replied coldly. "Someone has to stop you."
