The clans are different now. After escaping the uninhabitable lake with depleted clans, and a new life and code. She-cats are worth so much, all are stuck in the nursery their whole life. They are assigned their "perfect pairings" by their fathers. Despite their importance, they are stuck under the paws of the toms.
