The World was never a good place.

Remy Morrigan knows that she fits right in, because she is not a good person.
She's a schemer, a manipulator, a thief, an assassin, and notoriously good at it.
That is, not to say, she enjoys the life she lives. She was forced to succumb to it, because while the World may never have been good, now, it is worse.

It is a place where the terrible thrive, and the good suffer, and the only way to survive in it is to look after yourself.
Still, Remy dreams that one day, she will move beyond The Valley that has offered her nothing but hardship. Once she completes the last job she is set - to find the Book Of Daemonai, a fatal writing that, years ago, opened the gates of Hell to Gaea. That, which might be the hardest job Remy has faced yet.

There is a reason the World is a terrible place. It is because the Kings of Sin live within it, and none of them want to go back.
