Partners in Crime follows the exploits of the Mastermind, the ruler of the supervillain-ridden city of Rottenheim, who has greater ambitions of world domination. He's willing to do whatever it takes to get his way... So long as his lousy lackeys don't screw things up for him, which they very much do.

Shortlisted for the Open Novella Contest 2019 • Being a Supervillain is tough. Between managing a secret lair and making sure your mom doesn't stop loving you because you keep telling everyone she's dead, it's a really hard business to be good at? Add to that, the fact that somehow you got arrested because your cat sitter didn't take the day off and then you go around expressing your unconditional love for pancakes in a Super holding cell because technically they can't put you in a proper prison and you don't really have a choice because lawyers are expensive? And then, you realise your best friend is plotting go take over your spot as the greatest villain there ever was? Okay, maybe not the greatest, but you do come pretty close to it! To top it off, there's that one Superhero who's just so completely gorgeous, you couldn't imagine any harm coming to them? Because they're just that precious? I guess that makes me a Supervillain with minor time travel superpowers and a huge crush on a not so powerful Superhero? And all you have to do is protect yourself and everyone you love from your ex best friend/sidekick --because let's face it that's the highest level of praise for a wretched traitor here--and you also have to get out of Super Holding somehow? So 'Partners in Crime' is about a boy in love who loves this girl who happens to become his partner because she does the same things as him. They both have committed some crimes that they should really pay for. He lives in a large house on the streets and sometimes goes to fancy parties while the other is in disguise for real estate. Ezra has been on the run for a while but when he meets the girl in disguise falls for her. now he no longer wants to commit he just wants to commit to her. He moved states a bunch of times and now ended up in NY, the big city. Where he finds the girl he's always wanted, she was everything he couldn't have. Because why? The police were chasing after him and he found out the girl he always wanted was a bad guy like him. But what if the police find him and take him and the girl away from each other? separates them...will they meet again? Ever? Enjoy!Complete
