The sky seemed to get darker all of a sudden and Sixteen found herself suddenly getting a lot less wet. Hesitantly looking up, she found the writer hadn't manifested just to spite her but rather someone was standing over her, water streaming down his shoulders as he stood with his back to the rain. "Oh." Leading characters get the happy endings. Supporting characters help them get there. Extras exist in the background of it all. Sixteen had been aware of her role in the manhwa from the beginning and hadn't expect anything. As Nameless Student Sixteen, she knew the writer didn't care enough about background characters like her to even give her a name. She understood. It was why she'd given herself one, and why she had been patiently waiting out the story for as long as she could remember. Sixteen was just a distant observer to the clichéd high school drama happening around her. Except things didn't always go how you thought they would, even when you could easily predict the end of the manhwa. It seemed that there was always someone who wanted to change the story. Sixteen just happened to be one of the people caught in the middle. Baek Kyung is another. A self-indulgent fanfiction of the Korean drama Extraordinary You because I've always thought that if Baek Kyung had had someone to talk to, he wouldn't have had to suffer so much.
