Makayla Johnson- 
A 17 year old girl. Very introverted and shy. She wasn't always this way. She used to love people and the world but then it showed it's true colors and now she stays to herself. With one exception tho her best friend. Elizabeth. She has been there through everything and stayed by her side. 

Chase Anderson- 
The complete opposite of Makayla. He's the total Jock stariotype. He's tall and very popular. All the girls swoon over him except Makayla. He loves the attention and effection he receives. He always picks on Makayla for being so shy and quiet but secretly thinks it's cute. Of course he'll never admit that it would ruin his "reputation". 

Makayla hates chases guts for the way he treats her. He's always pushing her around and trying to take her books. She loves books. They are an escape from the reality shes in from how harsh her life is. She can pretend to be someone that is loved and loves themself. She can't do anything tho because chase is Lizzie's(Elizabeth) brother so he's always around. Always in her business. She absolutely hates it but there is nothing she can do. He's just there. ALWAYS.
