I waited and waited, but it seemed like the Alpha had a very busy life, and just when I thought that I would just rot in here forever, I heard doors open. My eyes snapped up and I smelled an amazing smell, very faint, but still very amazing. I heard large feet connect with the floor with every step, the noise echoed through the basement. The smell came closer and I felt myself getting very excited and highly nervous.
Then he came into view and I guess my heart stopped for a second. The person in front of me was the most intimidating man I had ever seen. His hair was pitch black in the dimly lit room, but I guessed it was a dark brown color when looked at in a better light. His eyes were a shade of green I had never seen in my life and I would most likely never see it again. They reminded me of the ocean, yet there was no blue in them. They were two beautiful, incredibly deep pools that I could get lost in – and I did for that one second. Even though eyes are probably the most readable thing on a person’s face, his were illegible. He stared at me with a stone hard expression, and I cowered a little bit.
The rest of his body was like his face: hard. He stood tall, easily over six feet, with an muscular frame – a very muscular frame – and his shoulders were broad. Though a part of me was terribly attracted to him, another part was trembling in fear. The feelings in my stomach were undeniable, and my wolf was whispering loudly.
Stop being afraid, she told me angrily. Can’t you see that he is our mate? Don’t you feel those feelings? Look how hot he is! He’s gorgeous – stop being such a coward. He is not going to hurt you.
