Bruce remained silent, unable to fathom what the teen in front of him was saying. He'd allowed a kid onto the battlefield? As if reading the older's mind, Y/N looked up at the man, a bitter smile gracing his face.
"It was the right call, Bruce--it was the only call. It was us against the world. We were fighting for the survival of humanity and you did what had to be done." Y/N turned away, facing the window so that he could gaze at the setting sun.
"But I guess some universes are destined to perish... and mine was one of them."

Wanting to be a superhero and becoming one, are two completely different things. But becoming the opposite? That's way easier. And sometimes it's not on purpose. Fate didn't want me to be a hero. I was a fairly normal girl, growing up in Central City. A city where superheroes and super villains didn't exist... until the particle accelerator exploded. Humans don't understand how someone can be both dead and alive, and that fact scares them, it opens up the possibility of a threat even if there is no evidence of malevolent intent.
