Introduction: Was this what life had really come to? Most people look forward to turning eighteen, but what If there is nothing to look forward to? Julie Fescue didn’t get the car of her dreams, or even a fraction of that. When she turned eighteen and graduated high school, she got her special, reserved spot at the “Pig sty”, a bar in Minneapolis, Minnesota. She wasn’t partying at clubs like the normal eighteen year old, she was working at one. She doesn’t have parents to get her out of this hell either, just a best friend to help her live through it, who helped her get this much needed job. Where is this so called graduation gift?
Do friends really have your back when you need them? Have you ever really come to realize that maybe they’re not friends at all? Rich, popular, private school taught Aaron Briar doesn’t really trust the people who are his so called friends. This isn’t the worst of his problems though. What if you live without really living, just wandering this earth till something good in your life happens , if that will ever come. Beyond all that, his love life isn’t dead, because it had never really been alive .He has never had a girl fall “in love” with him for all the right reason. When it comes down to the moment, who can you trust?

Have you ever met someone who alters the course of your life? For good or for bad, they've come in, given and taken, and then- BOOM! Your life was never the same. Evolution
There are a lot of things you don't really think about until they happen to you. Take rape, for instance. I always thought, "That won't happen to me. I have a boyfriend. I trust him. He would never take advantage of me like that..." I couldn't have been more wrong. Love in this day and age is often confused for manipulation and abuse. The warning signs are here. The things we say will tell us everything that is wrong. You are worth more than what you think you are. It's not your fault. If they tell you otherwise, get out. Burn the bridge. Always remember someone is waiting for you to walk into their life. Someone needs you. Someone loves you. Getting away from all of the wrong people and finding the right ones could save you. I can promise you right now that it saved me. These are the journal entries and selected poems from my first experience of love that left a unpleasant taste in my mouth- quite literally. An Unexpected Moment
... that changes everything Sarah was starting her junior year of high school. Looking at herself in the mirror, she saw a pretty average blonde haired, blue eyed, teenager. She was neither in the popular group, nor one of the many cliched outsiders. Sarah was a nobody. She liked to blend in and lay low. It was her way out of not only this town, but her house. No one knew it, but her father was a high functioning alcoholic that often took his anger out on his family. With her older sister now in college, it had turned to her more often. Laying low in general was a good strategy. Across town, Ryan was prepping for his final year in high school. While he wasn't the stereotypical quarterback of the football team, he did fit into the popular crowd. His sports of choice included basketball and soccer, either of which might line him up for a scholarship next year. Ryan had a group of close friends and a lot of adoring acquaintances. It wasn't easy juggling his athletics and keeping the grades up, but he was just that good. The supporting parents didn't hurt either. It might be a cliché romance, but it will be fun to see what the year and beyond holds. ------------------------------------------ This is a story I wrote years ago, or at least partially wrote.
