Mira is awkward and reserved and to nearly everyone around her invisible.She has dreamed of going to college to get away from her family for her whole life but with her grades recently she's not making enough credits to pass and graduate.Her sister Jaylene on the other hand has everything she's ever wanted and more. Mira's sister is possibly the most over privileged teenager in Arizona. Mira finds Jaylene's phone one day and a chance to escape herself, and she takes it.

Todd is extremely smart. Too smart for his own good. He constantly has to dumb himself down around others. He works for everything he wants including Jaylene. One day he builds up the courage to send her a text message.
