It was simple, it was sweet. Everything but short-lived. There was a gap in between that needs to be filled with something we were taught and we thought of at times. Blank spaces that were questions you never answered. The way my heart still beats for you as I stared right into your eyes and you looked back at mine, when I knew you felt absolutely nothing.
