Dancing In the Air (ATLA)

Aura's great grandparents were both Airbenders. They were leaving the Southern Air Temple to visit Ba Sing Se, so they were not there when the Fire Nation attacked the four air temples. Aura's great-grandparents hid behind the walls of Ba Sing Se. They built a temple and started their lives there, they had their only child, Fujin (Aura's grandfather) who was an Airbender.

Fujin married an earth kingdom woman named Maruca and they had two daughters (twins). The first daughter was born an Earthbender like her father and the second child was a non-bender.

The family waited for the day the Avatar would return so that they didn't have to hide anymore. Unfortunately, that day never came. Aura's mother had passed from an illness and two years later so had her father in the war, leaving her younger sister, Ivy, and her with their grandmother.

When Aura was ten-years-old, she along with her grandmother, aunt (Sue) and sister journeyed to the Southern Air Temple leaving.
