This book is currently on hiatus, but I'll start writing it again in the summer.
Having finally reached her seventeenth birthday, Faith is told by her father that she has the choice between getting a job and moving out. Already dealing with transferring schools in the middle of the year, she's definitely stressed. After applying for multiple jobs, she gets an answer from the job she was hoping the most for: An intern at Stark Industries. Juggling school, work, and a difficult home life, what will happen when Faith quite literally runs into somebody she had hoped to never see again, considering the last time she had seen him, multiple tragedies had struck? Will she be able to handle everything, or will the stress get to her? (I know it says her name is Faith, but it's an x reader. It'll make more sense later on, I promise.)
This story used to be on my old (Now deleted) account. I have the original of this story saved, and will be keeping the basic storyline, but the writing I did before didn't have a lot of effort, so it was sloppy and not even close to my best work. It was progressing too fast, and I decided it would be better to pretty much start from scratch rather than going through and editing it all to be different. Hopefully this turns out better, and I hope you all enjoy! I'll try to update at least once a week, my schedule is getting more busy lately. :)
Trigger warnings: Abuse. If there's going to be anything else, I'll put warnings at the beginning of the chapter.
"You're different from what I expected," she said softly.
"How so?" he asked, glancing at her.
"I don't know," she replied, searching for the right words. "You just... have this way of making people feel like they matter. Even here, in this... nightmare."
He was quiet for a moment before responding. "You matter, Y/n. Don't forget that."
OR
Y/n wakes up in the deadly Squid Game, surrounded by strangers and fighting to survive. What she doesn't know is that the mysterious Frontman is watching her every move through the cameras- and she's caught his attention.
