"Who the hell do you think you are?" Tahlia's sister screamed.

"I'm the person who's been hired to kill you."

To say she was shocked was an understatement. The poor girl was mortified. She looked like a deer caught in headlights.

"W-what?" she said weakly.

"Look, I get it. It's not every day a stranger comes and just announces that they're about to murder you," I said, hoping to ease the awkwardness. "Just take three deep breaths and it'll be over before you know it."

Vee had one rule: never let your personal life and your job overlap, but life has a funny way of being a bitch.

When that rule gets broken, things are never going to be the same. Now Vee is stuck in a situation were everything she ever cared for; her life, her job, her roommate Charlotte, and her shoes are in jeopardy.
