River Wilde isn't your average teenage girl. In fact, she was what you'd call "different" or "unique". Like Freddie Mercury and Lady Gaga, she was kind of a an outcast; a weirdo; an odd one out as some would say. But it took her a very long time to realise that there's actually nothing wrong with her.
There were a lot of things she didn't like about herself. Like her hair, eyes, skin and especially her height which stood at five feet. Despite her abhorrence towards her smallness, some people found it amusingly cute. Especially if you add it to the fact that her persona radiated little girl energy.
You wouldn't think a girl this cute and innocent would be sitting with a group of self-absorbed, shallow teenagers who value popularity over integrity and loyalty. Yet, here she was enjoying her lunch at their table during break. How did she end up here, you ask? You'll have to read the book to find out.
Let's be honest, nobody's perfect. Including River, who at first glance, seems saintly and innocent . But her imperfections are revealed through the experiences that follow after the return of her childhood best friend. The events that follow include: heartbreak, a love triangle, broken trust... well, basically, a whole lot of high school drama. Trust me, it's a fun read. (And not a cliche ;^)
