In June 1986, Nicky Roth, a city-dwelling New Yorker, has his life turned upside down as he moves to the small town of Raven Brooks in Pennsylvania. There, he forms an unexpected bond with a rebellious girl across the street, Erin Peterson. Together, they formed an unexpected bond.

However, everything comes to an abrupt halt when he meets Erin's father, a former theme park manager beloved by the town. Despite their hospitality, snippets of conversation from locals and delving into the history unleash a crescendo of a horrific past from an enigma that nags at him - a crescendo of horrific past that Erin seems to brush off and let stay buried.

Yet, Nick's persistent probing tests their newfound friendship, leaving him to question if Erin is protecting something...
