Y/N is a young, 16 year old kid. Their parents never got along very well, and Y/N would tune into Twitch streams or watch YouTube videos of their favorite MCYTs to drown out their parents fights, or to just pass the time. Y/N absolutely adored the Dream SMP and it's lore more than anything. However, Y/N was in a car accident with their parents, which resulted in their death, and Y/N's broken leg. Y/N was put into a foster system and bounced many homes within just a year. 27 homes to be exact. When Y/N was put into the foster system, their phone was shut off as nobody was able to pay for it anymore. This resulted in Y/N not being able to watch their comfort streamers anymore, which led Y/N into a depression-like state. Y/N's comfort streamers were the reason why Y/N hadn't took their own life. The people Y/N enjoyed watching the most was some people named Dream, Ranboo, Phil, Technoblade, and Wilbur Soot. Technoblade or Ranboo was probably their all-time favorite though. After all of this time, Y/N has mostly forgotten what all of the MCYTs look like, sound like, and even their names. One day, when Y/N is back in the place where all the kids wait to he fostered or adopted, two men walk in looking for a kid. No specific gender, race, or body type. Just a good kid. Y/N figures they're a lost cause since the staff kept telling the men how much of a 'rebellious little brat' they were, but then the men started talking with Y/N. Steph is a 21-year-old who freshly got out of a three-year bachelor's program in International Business. She moves from her home to Zuzu City with the expectation of getting a good-paying job, but her studies end up being useless and she gets stuck working for Joja with a salary just barely over minimum wage. Somewhere along the lines, she meets wonderful and less wonderful people, among which lies Alex, the stunning gridball player who's not sure what to say or do all the time, but always knows how to make up for his mistakes. Little does everybody know, Steph is actually transgender. This story covers one's way through navigating what for others is a confusing time but for Stephanie, just a thing she has to do to achieve her happiness. Throughout the story, there is an evolution in regard to the pronouns used to refer to the main character that I hope people don't perceive as offensive. This fanfiction tells my story, the way I experienced gender dysphoria which is much diminished in comparison to others on the same spectrum.
