Malik Powell, a senior in high school has always been a go-getter, but this isn't always a good thing when it comes to his love life apparently. He has always been at the top of his class, and has kept strong friendships, but who's to say that wouldn't all take a turn for the worst?

Life has always been a roller coaster for Malik. He knows what it feels like to be both happy and sad, but he's never experienced actual pain until the end of one of the "best" relationships he's ever had.

While he thought he was doing all the right things to maintain his first love with Ray, little did he know it would come crashing down on him, leaving him to remember his last words.
