Remus has a horrible secret, a secret he keeps from his friends, a secret he planned on taking to the grave. Well...that was until Sirius realised something wasn't right.

"Soooooooo.... whats wrong?" Sirius wondered. "You know the whole you waking up in sweat being terrified and all that"
"No...nothing. It's nothing", Remus chuckled.
"Mhm sure" Sirius said as he started to chuckle aswell and rolled his eyes.
Remus let out a sigh, "It's just I...I've been having some nightmares lately, but everything will be okay"
He watched Remus' gaze move from star to star. The nightsky looked like one you'd see in movies. His eyes flowed from Remus' gaze to the breathtaking darkness filled with the brightness of the stars above them. "About what?", Sirius questioned.
Remus stopped staring at the sky. The sparkles in his eyes gone. He sat up and looked at Sirius.
It was silent yet his look said more than a thousand words.

The instinct not to breathe underwater is so strong that it overcomes the agony of running out of air. No matter how desperate you are, you won't inhale until you're on the verge of losing consciounsness. Sirius knew that. He stood there, staring down to the black, cold water and pondering, would it be easier just to jump. He was on the edge, not just of the quay but of his own mind and sanity. The fall wouldn't kill him. The waves would. ... This is a Remus x Sirius Hogwarts years fanfiction I started writing a while back, in wich Sirius struggles with depression and suicidal thoughts. Remus tries his best to be there for his best friend, but his state of mind isn't the healthiest either. Contains triggering stuff, please don't read if you know you can't put up with stuff like ABUSE, SUICIDE, strong language or VIOLENCE. Also, all of this is based on the characters of the Harry Potter series. The cover picture is from tumblr and I added the name of this fic on it, so I do not own it. All of this is written by me, partly based on some of the events from my own life and suicidal thoughts I've had a long time ago, so please don't copy the storyline as it's partly very personal. Remus was glad he could play the song well enough by now that he didn't have to look down at his hands constantly, but then he made the stupid mistake of looking up at Sirius. He was drenched in sweat and his satin shirt clung to his torso, his dark hair hanging over his face in glistening black waves. Remus felt his breath catch in his throat as Sirius locked eyes with him, making his way over to Remus as he continued to sing, before leaning against the back of the piano to sing to Remus. Remus prayed that the heat of the stage and their performance would suit as a good enough excuse as to why his face was probably flushed red. He didn't think that Sirius Black could look any more gorgeous than he did at that moment, his grey eyes alive with joy, the light catching them as he stared at him, singing in his slightly husky voice, his face shiny with sweat and that damn guitar slung around his shoulder. OR in which the marauders decide to start a band whilst they're at hogwarts :) NOTES -so obviously this is set in the 70s, so i know technically not all the songs in this fic would have been released at the exact time this is set but i just really wanted the marauders to vibe to certain songs so please just accept it ;) and i mean- they're still songs from 70s-80s it's just that some of them came out a little later than when the marauders were in fifth year... -i also know that technically sirius ran away from home in the year this was set but i dont really touch upon it so sorry ab that, and i dont talk about prefect remus either but hey oh well -also the marauders do use the room of requirement in this fic, even tho in canon its likely they never discovered it at their time in hogwarts since it doesn't show up on the marauders map but hey it's a fanfic so don't come at me ty :) started: 12th May 2023 finished:Complete
