I'm a little shaken, but okay enough to hope.

All the things that Makoto experienced were part of a simulation. The only part that was real is the fact that he walked up to Hope's Peak and blacked-out. Now he has to deal with overbearing classmates and upperclassmen, the board of directors, and the emotional (and mental) damage that came with it. That's a great to start off the year, let's just hope it stays that way.
