"Are you alright?" he asked. All I could do was gaze up at him. I think I might seriously be losing my mind. "You must be the new teacher. I'm Brian Assad, the European History teacher."
I shook his hand, "Nice to meet you Mr. Assad. I'm Chelsea Armani, the new AP English teacher." He looked at my feet where my coffee from the morning lay.
"Are you okay? I didn't mean to startle you," he said in that familiar voice.
"It's fine. It's just you look a striking resemblance to somebody I used to know," I said looking at him. "Used to?" he raised his eyebrow.
"Uh umm...they were killed in a plane accident three years ago but the body was never found," I said. "Oh I'm sorry. I wouldn't have said anything if I had known."
"It's alright," I said waving it off. He smiled and said his goodbye before leaving. I stared at his retreating back. I don't know what I was thinking, everybody knows the dead can't come back to life no matter what. I just wish that I had told him that I loved him and now I can never.
