I feel my heart break into a million pieces all over again. I have no reason to trust this man but for some reason, an inkling inside, I know there's a possibility he is telling the truth. I know there's a huge possibility Bell is gone.

Emery wakes up in a white room remembering the war between her people from the sky and the people who have lived on the ground for one hundred years. No one is there to provide any answers for her and as far as she is concerned, the love of her life is dead.  She knows to keep hope and continue fighting but the huge hole in her heart is very unmotivating.

This is the second book of The King and His Queen series.

Unlike the first book, the chapter setup will not be an episode split into two parts (Ex. Twilight's Last Gleaming 1/2). It's harder to meet my preferred word count when in the future, I might not get a lot of screen time.
