Liz lives in a world where, when you turn 16, your story and your role are chosen for you by the government, and she's fine with that. Never had a problem with it. She'll be a background character, and leave the plot to the main character.
But when she meets a mysterious boy named Ferret, her perspective begins to change, and everything she's ever known to be true has started shaking because of it.
And as soon as Liz, now going by the alias of Safiyah Everleigh, has started settling in, never before heard of things start happening in her story. Or...have they happened before?
A revolt is starting, strong characters at the head. And Liz has to balance rising to the challenge, living in a malfunctioning story, and not overplaying her role all at once.
