Beck and Jade had been friends for 25 years. They had known each other since middle school. As they had grown older, their friendship had only grown stronger along with their other friends, André and Robbie.

Jade had been married to Moose for five years, while Beck had been living together with Alyssa to whom he had a child for ten years. When Beck finally decided to marry Alyssa, his friends decided to throw him an unusual bachelor's party - a one-day hiking to Mt. Hollywood and Mt. Chapel Trails to Mt. Lee and then a karaoke at Karaoke Dokie. As their night ended, Beck asked Jade if she could drive him home. As always, Jade obliged. However, it was a drive that Jade wished she didn't take.
