I felt the rapid tug of his heart, remembering how I had yearned to do more than just feel his heartbeat. It had been our own childish version of 'cross my heart and hope to die.'
"Don't you feel it?" He asked.
I curled my fingers, rumpling his shirt in the process but he didn't seem to mind.
"Your actions were enough for me."
He shot me a quizzical look and I realised he was going to act clueless. An exasperated sigh escaped from my lips and I withdrew my hand. "I was always here David. You're the one who left and never bothered to keep in touch."

I just graduated high school and instead of celebrating it with my friends. I choose to go on a bus for an hour's ride to my sister's to celebrate my graduation with her and her friends.
