A Blessing
In a world where soulmates were not just believed in but revered, fate was supposed to be gentle.
For Jeon Jungkook, it had never been.
The young CEO of Jeon Empires had grown up watching love fall apart behind closed doors. His parents who were bound by fate, yet broken by it had taught him one thing.
A soulmate bond didn't guarantee happiness.
Still, he chose to believe differently. He would find his soulmate. And when he did, he would love them right. Respect them. Protect them with all he has.
There was only one problem. He hadn't found them yet.
On the other side of the story, stood Kim Taehyung. V.
A name whispered in the underworld.
A man feared, respected... untouchable.
And yet, beneath the danger and darkness, he was a man devoted to a single, almost fragile belief, soulmates.
He had built empires in shadows, crushed enemies without hesitation, but for his soulmate, he waited. Patiently. Faithfully.
Until the day he met a certain CEO.
And for the first time in his life... his devotion wavered.
But fate was magical. The truth being them actually being soulmates.
But what should have been a blessing became a weakness.
Because in the underworld, love isn't sacred.
It's leverage. And the moment the world discovered that the feared V had someone to lose... things became messy.
"Don't you want your soulmate, Jeon?"
"I do, I desperately do." Taehyung smiled at that. Jungkook may call this meet a drunken mistake the very next morning but for Taehyung it would be a cherished memory.
"Then I pray for you, Jungkook." He spoke with a same smile as he looked at the other. "That you would meet your soulmate soon." With that, Taehyung subconsciously cupped other's cheek in an adorning way as the other leaned adorably against it. And only heaven know, how good the shiver felt that ran down through there body at the contact.
"Mr. Kim," Jungkook spoke after a moment, tone much sober and deadly serious now.
"Seems like your prayer has been answered."
