What if Harry wasn't the golden boy everyone thought? What if his world of Hogwarts changes forever? Harry Potter was excited for school to start for his fifth year. He wanted nothing more than to get away from his abusive aunt, uncle, and cousin and get to see his friends and finally return home. But it's not the home he once thought. This story will only follow a few things from the original book/movie. Umbridge is there, Harry still gets a lot of detentions from her, and his nightmares continue. Sirius will not die at the end of this and Harry and the rest of the gang don't end up going to the ministry. Summary: Draco had a panic attack after seeing his worst fear charging at him. The entire scene ended up with a few unexpected people, more of an unexpected person, checking in on him. Will this small act of worry result in something more or will it continue as it is? Triggers: Mentions of abuse, Panic attack, Potion snuck into a drink, Slurs, Homophobia, Mild insecurity, Mild self-harm (nails digging into skin/scratching), mild food issues (kind of?? skipping meals.), Sexuality confusion and internalized homophobia. If you read this and feel I should add another trigger, please let me know! Notes: Takes place in Prisoner of Azkaban. Sirius had a trial in this version. He won and is free. Peter was the one who was imprisoned and escaped. I know it's unrealistic but honestly, it's a story. It doesn't have to make much sense. Sirius became a teacher with Remus. Sadly, Harry was still given to his aunt and uncle due to Dumbledore handing him over before Sirius had his name cleared, then claimed that Sirius wasn't mentally stable enough to handle Harry. Ron still has a pet rat; this one is just not Pettigrew. A handful of these boggarts are not canon! They are what I thought they could have been if they had a bit more mental issues than shown in the books/movies.
