In the fast-paced society in the kingdom of Amaryllis, there's no time to have fun or truly fall in love.
That is, if you're poor.
Prince Romulus feels bored with his privileged life, and decides he wants a wife, and he wants her before his 21st birthday.
His mother and father scramble to bring him princesses from far-off lands and honored noblemen's daughters, but all of these women leave Romulus wishing for more.
That's when he spots her- Lissie Griffin, or as most know her, Aria Chauvet, highly esteemed (and disgraced) sorceress and conwoman- the woman he wants to marry.
At Romulus' request, his father tricks Lissie into coming to the castle, only to capture her and force her to marry Romulus. But when an opposing force attacks the castle, she escapes, attempting to stop the attack and flee in the process.
Does she make it? Does she stop the attack? Is she still forced to become Romulus' wife? Find out in:
