"Sometimes, your imagination can't be your reality," you respond to her. "Sometimes you just have to accept the fact that you'd never be what you want to be. Or, imagine to be." She frowned and looked dissatisfied by your comment.
For 10 minutes straight you just sat there and she just stood there, hearing only the chatters and laughs of other students. You really just wanted to go to the bathroom and cry your heart out, eventually filling a whole bathtub, but you didn't have the courage to stand up. Nor talk.
"I-" she suddenly filled the silence between them both. "Never mind. Talk to you later?" You could see her force a smile, to you, looked very hurtful. She grabbed the four books and walked away, pretending she just had an average and normal conversation with you. Why did I even say those words? You wondered. You wanted to just get up and run to her, but you didn't have the courage to even move.
