After the tragedy involving her home town of Grimsby, Dora and Jakob are transported back to the real world, where a chilling epidemic is sweeping New York City. Falling snow is creating a whirlwind of panic as snow-infected people begin to attack each other and grow more an more bloodthirsty. Dora and Jakob must figure out why the snowfall is causing waves of violence before the entire city is wiped out.

However, her efforts to figure out what is causing the disease is stalled when another cruel and ingenious author by the name of Hans Christian Anderson appears. He's heard of the elusive fictional character who wrote herself a new reality, and is hell bent on finding her. His characters prove worthy opponents, and Dora finds herself faced with even stronger enemies than the Brothers Grimm.

The Chosen One Chronicles: Where the Light Meets the Dark by Antonioschoenegger24
13 parts Complete
High school student Anthony Scalese was having a normal day when his friends decided that they wanted to attend a party. After bumping into Emma, the girl of his dreams, in a not-so-positive way, he realizes that the day isn't going well. It gets worse when tragedy strikes, and his friend takes his own life at that party, forcing him into a depression that not even his little sister can help him out of. The only thing that keeps him going is his excitement for a school camping trip that is coming up with his best friend Edward. After a little mishap while hiking down from their camp site, Anthony and his major crush fall down the side of the mountain and get stuck, then get chased by a gun-wielding maniac into a cave. After what seems like days, they make it out of the cave alive, only to find out that they have ended up in a new world: a world where nothing makes sense. There are giants and leprechauns and shapeshifters...but there is also a great darkness that is out to destroy everyone-and everything-that it sees. Young Anthony finds out that it is up to him and Emma to save this new world with great powers that he had no idea he had, and make it home before anybody suspects a thing. Told from a first-person point-of-view, it goes into detail about the thought processes of a young man who has everything to lose. The protagonist deals with real life struggles every day, including the death of his friend, his dad who left him at an early age, and the pain of seeing his little sister being hurt by her boyfriend. He also has to take charge and become a hero for those who can't against an unwavering bully in a far-away world. My book blends fiction with reality, as the reader follows along in the life of a shy high school student who gets thrown into many situations he must overcome as he finds out who he truly is and why it is him who needs to save the world, while keeping the reader guessing every step of the way.

Old feuds, new worlds, and a love that will last a lifetime... Ever since her dad mysteriously abandoned her family, life on the Clifton Estate hasn't been all that exciting for 16-year-old Marla True. Her Mum constantly works to make ends meet, which means Marla has to put up with gossipy old Bev keeping an eye on her and noisy little half-sister Ribbon. If that wasn't bad enough, her exam results are in... and they aren't good. But at least she has her friends. Asher, the responsible and strong boy who has known her all her life and Ed, the orphaned rebel who loves to stir up trouble. Then there's her, Marla, stubborn, fiery and just plain lost. Life on the estate is same-old same-old, until the senile World War Two veteran, Mr. Pelham, starts freaking Marla out with his staring and rambling, cryptic messages. Is he trying to warn her? Or hurt her? When the bored trio decide to teach the creepy old man it's rude to scare young girls, they learn far too late just how crucial it is to respect your elders. For his daughter, Bridget, has a power unlike anything they've ever seen before and she uses her deadly craft to send them to a place that will teach them the lesson of their lifetime. Bridget has sent them back in time, all the way to World War Two, throwing them into a secret fight for the survival of all magical folk in the world. Marla soon learns what it really means to be a True, and the power her absent father has kept from her all her life... Marla, Ed and Asher are thrown into a world they and their generation have no comprehension of, a world where love is a relic of a life left behind and your only duty is sacrificing all that you have. These three friends are about to learn about a side of World War Two that never made the history books. ***I can't take credit for the artwork, it's called A BREAK IN REALITY and it's by the AMAZINGLY talented Xenobyte on deviantart. Hey guys! This book has been officially published on Amazon. It's available as an ebook or a paperback. The version available on Amazon has been edited and I even changed some of the plot. I'd love it if you went to check it out and maybe even bought it. (https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B0BF333KWH/ref=tmm_pap_swatch_0?ie=UTF8&qid=&sr=) Love, Sophia *** "I-" I try to say something, anything, but the words get stuck in my throat when Jonas suddenly grabs the collar of my shirt and pulls me awfully close to his face. "Shut it!" Chills shoot down my spine as if someone just dumped a bucket of ice water down the back of my shirt. What is he doing? I know he can get angry sometimes, but he wouldn't dare to lay a hand on me in public, would he? I wait and wait for him to do something, but he does nothing because we get interrupted by a loud voice that sounds through the quiet of the night. "Hey!" I dare to open my eyes a little to see where it's coming from. A tall blond guy, carrying grocery bags is standing a couple yards away. "Yes, I'm talking to you! Step away from the girl right now!" *** The story of two broken souls- Madeleine Evans, a college student in an abusive relationship, and Elias Sanders, a soldier suffering from PTSD- trying to pick up their own and each other's pieces. Warning: Mature content! (Violence, strong language, sexual assault, substance abuse...)
