Demons lurk in the night and hunt down unfortunate prey. They are known to smell of ash and brimstone, this one was no different. Well, maybe it was at some extend.

It's not common for demons to smell of flowers as well, never the less such innocent one as lilIes.

It surprised them at first, but this assassin knew better.

29 parts Complete Mature
The first of three curses was fulfilled. The town of Ceginia is no more, having succumbed to the Lich King's Heart Rot curse. Sei is still bound and obligated to finish two more curses for Zhil, a mage who learned the forbidden soul magic and forced a contract with him. They escaped almost unscathed from a group of mage hunters, who had been hunting for Zhil for many years, in the aftermath of Ceginia. Suffering from Zhil's poor handling of Sei's ghost magic, they both fell into a state of magical exhaustion. Sei is taunted by the nightmare of his rebirth into the Bleeding King, only to awaken to the news of the elusive Weeping King, another lich, being sighted around his realm. Sei and Zhil must return to find out what he wants before heading to Gytuana. The city where magic lives and the next curse in Zhil's contract. PREVIEW: Perhaps it was because Sei only managed an hour of sleep or perhaps because his mind was in disarray, he didn't sense the void steadily circling him. Hidden out of sight and biding their time until it was the right moment to strike. Muted by the ambiance of the landscape around it, a low twang of a bowstring hummed. Lofting its arrow forward at high speed. Penetrating through the air the wind gave no heed to its destination. The moment before it struck, Sei turned his head finally sensing the danger. But slow to judge the distance, he failed to get out of the way in time, allowing the arrow to slice across the front of his eyes, bathing his world in darkness. His head pounded, forcing him to wake up and see what caused the pain. The guy sat up, looking around while doing so. He was in an unfamiliar desert, with no clue as to how he got there. He thought it was just some strange dream, the feeling of life he had with no explanation of why he had it. The man could not remember his name, or anything else about him. All he could remember was his age, which was seventeen. On this continent he was in, you were considered an adult at the age of sixteen. The guy stood up, brushing the sand off of his clothing. He combed through his brown hair, doing the same thing he did to his clothes and tried to get the sand out even harder than he did to the clothing. The man looked in his pockets for some sign of identification, something that could tell him who he was and why he was here. Moving his fingers around the jacket's pocket, his fingers grasped a piece of paper and pulled it out and into the view of his purple eyes. It was a small slip of paper, with only two words written on it. Agent 34. Book One in the Agent 34 and the Chronicles of Renya series. Sabine has spent the past decade hiding from the Wild Hunt. But when a charismatic stranger recruits her to retrieve an invaluable artifact, she'll have to finally reveal her identity... and her dark secrets. * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * The darkness holds more than just secrets... Marked for death, Sabine escaped from her home more than ten years ago. But the Wild Hunt will never give up. It should have been easy to stay hidden. All Sabine had to do was keep her head down, avoid telling anyone about her past, and above all else -- not let her glamour drop. Even the best-laid plans eventually fall apart. When a charismatic stranger arrives in the city, Sabine finds herself unwittingly drawn to the power she can sense hidden within him. Keeping her distance is nearly impossible, especially after a life debt is called due and she's tasked into helping steal a rare artifact. Sabine is the only one who can break the magical barriers protecting the item, but that means revealing the truth about her identity and exposing her darkest secrets. Unfortunately, the Fae aren't the only ones hunting her. And the most dangerous monsters aren't always confined to the dark.
