Sky is a painter who's biggest dream is to paint in Paris. Fighting her family's objections to the idea, she sneaks out one night to get new brushes. Hoping not to get caught she encounters a group of men in an alleyway back to her flat.
Charlie is a fighter. He's stuck in a position in which he has to fight other men in illegal fight clubs to get the money he needs for his drug addict mom's health and apartment. He goes to school bruised and beaten. And failing his classes are going to have him held back another year.
Charlie and Sky weren't supposed to meet that 1 am night in the city, but now that they have Sky feels the need to help Charlie. He knows that she's in danger if they create a bond and makes an effort to push her away, but in doing that he only hurts himself.
