Bakugo bit his lip from yelling back at her as Takari led him up every single flight of stairs to the roof. She activated her quirk and created some kind glowing orb, the purple shape mutated into the form of a key. She then took the fluorescent object and pushed it into the keyhole.

"You do this often?" Bakugo teased as she unlocked the door with ease.

Takari gave him an unamused scowl and quietly opened the door. They exited the building and stepped to the edge of the railing.

"What are you doing?" The sight of her so close to the side caused Bakugo's palms to sweat.

"Come here." She beckoned him to join her.

He raised a leary eyebrow, but listened and stepped up to the edge. She then stretched out her hand to the space beyond the building's edge and activated her quirk once again. The familiar purple glow returned as she created a solid platform. Then another one just below it and another one. Soon an entire set of luminous stairs stretched directly to the ground.

"You do this often." Bakugo folded his arms with a smirk.

"Shut up." Now it was Takari's turn to tell him to shut up and she did, the action caught Bakugo off guard and he froze. He was a bad influence on her.

"𝐘𝐨𝐮 𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐲 𝐝𝐨𝐧'𝐭 𝐡𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐚𝐩𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐠𝐢𝐬𝐞 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲𝐝𝐚𝐲" "𝙅𝙪𝙨𝙩.. 𝙩𝙖𝙠𝙚 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙙𝙖𝙢𝙣 𝙗𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙤" ════ ⋆★⋆ ════ At twenty-seven, (Y/N) is done. Done with doubles. Done with understaffed night shifts. Done with scrubbing questionable substances off hospital walls. Her quirk-Chiropractor, the ability to relieve pain and tension with a touch-might make her a miracle worker, but it can't save her from burnout. She's exhausted, sarcastic, and one cracked vertebra away from quitting healthcare entirely. Then life throws her the world's most explosive curveball: She moves into the house right next door to Bakugo Katsuki-now the No. 5 Pro Hero, fully grown, annoyingly gorgeous, and carrying a secret guilt he's tried to bury for years. They haven't seen each other since their early twenties. Since that night. Their reckless, drunken, unforgettable one-night stand. To her? It was hot, wild, and not worth a shred of regret. To him? It was a mistake-not because of her, but because he thinks he didn't treat her right. Didn't ask her out. Didn't make it special. Didn't deserve it. And now that she's back in his life, his guilt turns into something unexpected: Homemade bentos. Left on her doorstep. Every morning. Like an apology he can't stop giving. But as her terrible shifts pile up, her quirk starts easing his old injuries, and their tense doorstep conversations turn into something dangerously warm, one thing becomes clear: This isn't about regret anymore. It's about healing-his body, her burnout, their past. And maybe, if the universe doesn't interfere first... something worth fighting for.

"I don't know how to be like this. But I'm tryin'. For you." Y/N grew up learning how to disappear. She stayed quiet when it hurt. Took up less space. Learned how to smile when she wanted to scream. She knows how to read people - their moods, their shifts, their silence - but she's still learning how to listen to herself. Now she's twenty-one. A pro hero with steady hands and a soft voice. She tells herself she's fine. She always does. Twenty-two, Pro Hero. He's the same rough edged, explosive, quiet and aggressive guy. But around her, it's different. She's quiet, steady - and something in him wants to protect that. So he keeps his distance. Not because he doesn't care, but because he does. More than he ever had. He's scared she'll get hurt. Scared he will, too. But no matter how far he pulls back... she lingers. In his head. In his chest. In all the places he thought were locked..
