y/n and her mom move from Hawkins Indiana because of the monster vecna that has killed about 4 of the students at the school she attended. she went with her friends to the upside down with her boyfriend Alex and he ended up dying trying to distract the demo bats with their dungeon master Eddie but a demo dog ran and jumped on him and ate him. and they need up "defeating vecna" but Hawkins had a split in the town and y/n's mom thought it was best if they left Hawkins and that's what they did. y/n said goodbye to all of her friends and headed off to Denver with her mom. and they start their life over and y/n meets new people Finney, Gwen, and robin. and one day as she walks home on school she gets tricked into thinking there is a magician and she goes to grab a BLACK balloon but she gets chloroformed and grabbed. Finney Gwen and robin do everything in their power to get Jaylin back.
