After The Mind Flayer was defeated, Vecna, a more blood thirsty villain took over the brain of Will. Will struggled to control Vecna's control and managed to do so well through a few months. But as Will's love for Mike became stronger, he was caught at a weak spot where Vecna could take him easy peasy. Only one person can save him now... And that's Mike. This byler story takes place in modern times (also no upside down and Vecna bc they literally ruin everything), Will, Jane, and Johnathan, along with Hopper and Joyce, had moved to California the last day of summer, just before freshman year. Will left his friends, his town, the only home he had...Mike... But after a long school year, the three finally managed to get Joyce and Hopper to agree to let them go back to Hawkins for the summer, and of course, stay with the Wheelers.
