In a world of Warriors, Protectors, Merchants, and Assassins, you never have the choice. You are, however, chosen. Warriors are selected in drafts to join the King's army; Protectors are called to the forest by Wilderness to keep the innocent safe; Merchants aren't selected by anyone, but they are rejected and sentenced to live their lives to make, and trade, and sell; Assassins belong to the Guild, children taken from their beds to serve and collect contracts of money that they never received.
Adira is a skilled, feared, and respected assassin with the courage to fight what others are too afraid to stand up for, and she'll fight for this until her dying breath, too determined to back down to men who got things people like her won't: freedom of choice.

In the world of Htraeas, the major kingdoms of; Acirema, Napaj, Anihc, Aissur, Aerok, and Encarf have created academies in order to train professional warriors for use of tournaments, mission contracts, and assassinations and monster/demon hunting.
